Experts will say that using both epoxy and polyurethane is best for most applications. They are both light reflective easy to clean and long lasting.

They provide a hard high gloss tile like finish that has outstanding wash and scrubbability. Their limited pot life and sensitivity to humidity require very well trained and experienced staff. Epoxy should be used as the base coating to bond to concrete and the polyurethane can be used as a topcoat flexible scratch resistant uv stable. This all depends on the floor application and what the desired end result.

Epoxy and polyurethane are great for protecting concrete floor against stains damage chemicals oils and wear. In very simple terms a typical two part epoxy coating contains a resin. Epoxy floors are much less flexible in this respect in the sense that they usually require 7 days to fully cure.
